B. Comer Memorial Library Auditorium.Skilled workforce continues to be a top priority for employers throughout Alabama. A high quality workforce is the Sylacauga area’s best long-term economic development strategy. A survey has been released to better understand each company’s evolving workforce needs.Individuals who work in the industry, small businesses, educators, or interested members of the community are invited to attend.The forum will be a conversation between the community’s employers and workforce development programs in order to better understand the availability and impact of workforce development programs in Central Alabama.Josh Laney, Executive Director of Alabama Office of Apprenticeship, will be the moderator. Josh partners with industries and education providers across the state to develop and expand traditional and industry-recognized apprenticeships for youth and adults.
