SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Sylacauga Chamber of Commerce celebrated real estate agent Ashleigh Jones returning to the area with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday afternoon.
Jones has worked as a realtor for the past six years in Birmingham with Keller Williams, but she decided the time was right for her to come back to Sylacauga and work from home.
“[Working from home], I pretty much get to build my schedule around my kids,” explained Jones. “That’s super important. They’re active in sports and school. I also do some volunteer work at the nursing home here, so it’s important to be able to come and go.”
Although Jones services all of Alabama, her main focus will be locally.
“I do 99 percent of my business in Talladega County,” Jones said.
Jones hopes to help plenty of potential new homeowners throughout the county as she expressed that finding a first home for her clients is the best part about her job.
“I love working with people in general. I always have,” Jones pointed out. “Helping them through that first big investment, that’s always fun.”
Sylacauga Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Laura Strickland welcomed Jones to the Chamber headquarters, and Strickland said she’s looking forward to the success Jones will soon have in the area.
“I’m from here, I live here, I love it here,” expressed Jones. “I love this community and the opportunity that it’s given me. I look forward to [continuing] to grow it.”
