According to Public Health officials, 72% of the population need to either be exposed to the virus or vaccinated to help reach herd immunity. For Alabama, this means the 3.5 million people need to have immunity, or masks could be the new normal. Alabama is nearly halfway to the herd immunity vaccination goal.

Alabama is under a mask ordinance until April 9. Gov. Ivey vowed this would be the last extension of Alabama’s Safer at Home Order.

Remember to wash your hands, properly wear masks in public, keep your hands away from your face, and continue to practice six-feet social distancing.
