SYLACAUGA, Ala. – COVID-19 numbers continue to decrease across the state of Alabama .
According to the Alabama Department of Public Health’s COVID-19 risk indicator, there is a low amount of COVID-19 activity in Talladega County placing it in the ‘green’ category.
Talladega County is currently reporting 7,967 positive COVID-19 cases. Talladega County has reported a total of 167 deaths due to COVID-19.
The state of Alabama alone is currently reporting 514,619 positive COVID-19 cases. Alabama has recorded 10,526 deaths due to COVID-19.
There are currently 47,426 total hospitalizations across the state.
Alabama is under a mask ordinance until April 9 to help slow the spread of the virus. Gov. Kay Ivey has made it clear that the mask mandate will not be extended.
Remember to wash your hands, properly wear masks in public, keep your hands away from your face, and continue to practice social distancing.
