State of Alabama COVID-19 update

SYLACAUGA, Ala. – COVID-19 numbers are increasing throughout some parts of Alabama.

According to the Alabama Department of Public Health’s COVID-19 risk indicator there is a low amount of COVID-19 activity in Talladega County placing it in the ‘green’ category.

Talladega County is currently reporting 8,183 positive COVID-19 cases. Talladega County has reported a total of 175 deaths due to COVID-19.

The state of Alabama alone is currently reporting 528,784 positive COVID-19 cases. Alabama has recorded 10,913 deaths due to COVID-19.

There are currently 48,868 total hospitalizations across the state.

Alabama is not longer under a mask mandate. Masks are encouraged but not required.

Remember to wash your hands, properly wear masks in public, keep your hands away from your face, and continue to practice social distancing.
