CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – The City of Childersburg will host the “Stars Over Childersburg” celebration on Friday, July 3, bringing an evening of family-friendly entertainment, local vendors, and fireworks to downtown Childersburg.
The event will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on the ALICE Community Center campus and along 8th Ave. SW beside City Hall. Organizers are inviting residents and visitors to bring lawn chairs and enjoy a variety of activities throughout the evening.
“Stars Over Childersburg” will feature food trucks, vendors, bounce houses, a dunking booth, a mechanical bull, and a Kid Zone. Attendees will also have the opportunity to shop with local businesses and browse handmade crafts, boutiques, permanent jewelry, and other merchandise from participating vendors.
The evening will conclude with a fireworks display scheduled to begin at 8:30 p.m.
City officials said the event is designed to bring the community together ahead of Independence Day while supporting local businesses and creating a festive atmosphere for families.
“Stars Over Childersburg” is presented by the City of Childersburg in partnership with the Childersburg Area Chamber of Commerce, ALICE Community Center, Alabama Power, and BOGO Fireworks.
Admission is free, and organizers encourage community members to attend and celebrate the holiday weekend in downtown Childersburg.
