SYLACAUGA. Ala. – The Sylacauga Police Department is asking for the public’s help after a string of car break-ins on the city’s north side.
SPD wrote in a Facebook post that it is searching for two individuals involved in breaking and entering into motor vehicles. Sylacauga Police Chief Kelley Johnson said the vehicle break-ins have been in the Taylor estates and Valley View areas.
“People need to be cautious and keep their doors locked,” said Johnson. “These people are checking door handles to see of they’re unlocked.” Johnson explained there has been, and will continue to be, an elevated police presence in the area.
