SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Seventeen year-old Destiny Cooper was safely found Wednesday night by officers of the Sylacauga Police Department. She was last seen on Jan. 4 by her family.
On a Facebook post from Wednesday morning, the Sylacauga Police Department asked for the public’s help to find Cooper. After a phone call tip Wednesday, officers were able to find the missing teen. Police Chief Kelley Johnson told SylacaugaNews.com the tip came from someone who saw the Department’s Facebook post.
As a juvenile, Cooper will not be charged with a crime. However, Johnson said DHR will now help in the case moving forward.
