SPD Issues a temporary speed limit reduction on W. Park Street

SHARE NOW

SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Sylacauga Police Department has issued a traffic alert to notify the public of a temporary speed limit reduction on West Park Street from 35 mph to 15 mph.

This reduction is in effect through the construction zone for the safety of drivers, workers, and nearby residents. Current road conditions make it unsafe to travel at higher speeds – and honestly, if you’re going faster than 15 mph right now, there’s a good chance something might fall off your vehicle.

Officers will be monitoring the area, and ask everyone to slow down, use caution, and be mindful of ongoing construction.
