SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Sylacauga Police Department has arrested two individuals suspected of murder in the state of Georgia.

In a statement released on Monday by Lt. Mike Moore, SPD announced it arrested 21-year-old Jylonda Mariah Jones, a black female from Hoover, and 23-year-old Marquavious T. Howard, a black male from Birmingham, on Tuesday, Aug. 22.

Both individuals had outstanding warrants for murder from the State of Georgia, and were arrested inside of the Sylacauga City limits.

The release states the two alleged criminals were not together at the times of arrest, but were arrested at separate times and locations.

The two will be held for no more than 10 days before they will either be extradited to Columbus, Georgia or released from custody.
