CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – The Kymulga Grist Mill is preparing for its annual Grits Festival on Saturday, April 27, sponsored by Renasant Bank in Childersburg.
Visitors ages six and above can pay only one dollar in cash to gain admission to the festival.
Park memberships won’t grant entry, but attendees can anticipate a day packed with family fun and wonderful food options.
Attendees can explore the historic grist mill, wander across the iconic covered bridge, or traverse the extensive trail network spanning over eight miles.
The festival will host 50 vendor booths offering an array of treats, from classic fare like burgers, dogs, fries, boiled peanuts, and roasted corn to gift items such as jarred honey, clothes, candles, cookbooks, and more.
Live music by the creek sets the ambiance while kids enjoy activities like balloon artistry, gem mining, pony rides, and train rides. Plus, for added convenience, the event now accepts credit cards for food and store purchases, making this year’s festivities more accessible than ever.
This year’s Kymulga Grist Mill Grits Festival will run from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
