SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Southern Dance and Performing Arts Company, or SDPAC, has announced its upcoming 2022-23 show and recital season in its entirety.
SDPAC, which is a part of the Sylacauga Alliance for Family Enhancement (SAFE), unveiled five new plays and dance recitals at an open house event on Monday, June 6.
The following performances along with their scheduled dates are listed below. Exact show times will be revealed at a later date.
The Hunchback of Notre Dame (B.B. Comer High School auditorium) – Public performances: Oct. 20, 21, 22, 28, and 29; School performances: Oct. 25 and 27
Christmas Angels (Sylacauga High School auditorium) – Dec. 3
The Wizard of Oz (B.B. Comer High School auditorium) – Public performances: Feb. 16, 17, 18, 24, and 25; School performances: Feb. 21 and 23
2023 Dance Recital: Better Together (Sylacauga High School auditorium) – April 22
Our Town (venue TBD) – July 13, 14,15, 21, and 22
“These are ambitious [shows],” said SDPAC’s Musical Theatre program director Patrick McDonald, “but we have such incredible talent that I have no doubt are going to stun, amaze, and enthuse our town as we put these shows on.”
Tickets for The Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Wizard of Oz, and Our Town will go on sale August 1 at sdpac.net.
