South Talladega County football recap for Sept. 11

TALLADEGA COUNTY, Ala. – Here’s last week’s results for B.B. Comer, Childersburg, Fayetteville, and Sylacauga on the gridiron:

SYLACAUGA – The Sylacauga Aggies drop to 2-2 on the season and 0-2 in the region as they lost on the road to the Jacksonville Eagles by a score of 28-14 in a closer game than the score indicates. Chris Smelley’s Aggies will come home this Friday to take on the Alexandria Valley Cubs.

B.B. COMER – The B.B. Comer Tigers’ woes continue by staying winless in a 41-8 defeat at the hands of the Dadeville Tigers. Adam Fossett’s cats will now get on a bus and travel to Coosa Central to take on the Cougars this Friday.

FAYETTEVILLE – The Fayetteville Wolves gave John Limbaugh his first win of the season by going on the road and whipping the LaFayette Fighting Bulldogs by a score of 39-19. The Wolves are now 1-2 on the year and 1-0 in region play. Fayetteville is at home this Friday, squaring off with Notasulga.

CHILDERSBURG – The Childersburg Tigers are now 4-0 for the first time in 53 years as they closed out a Homecoming win over the Ashville Bulldogs by a score of 20-13. Matt Zedaker’s cats are undefeated and 2-0 in the region. The Tigers will get on the yellow cheese wagon and go to take on the Weaver Bearcats this Friday night.
