South Talladega County football recap for Oct. 18

TALLADEGA COUNTY, Ala. – Here’s last week’s results for B.B. Comer, Childersburg, Fayetteville, and Sylacauga on the gridiron:

SYLACAUGA – The Sylacauga Aggies got a much needed week off Friday night and will get back into region play next week at home against the Elmore County Panthers. The Aggies are now 4-4 on the year.

B.B. COMER –  B.B. Comer ran into a buzzsaw named the Dadeville Tigers on Friday night and got shutout, 28-0. The Tigers are now 2-6 on the season and 2-3 in region action. The RadioAlabama Sports Player of the Week was Seth Pettit. B.B. Comer goes on the road Friday for another region game against the Lee-Scott Academy Warriors.

FAYETTEVILLE – The Wolves finished region action at 0-5 as they fell on the road to the Woodland Bobcats, 54-0. Fayetteville is now 2-6 on the season with an off week coming up this week. The RadioAlabama Sports Player of the Week was Ever Olguin.

CHILDERSBURG – Childersburg dropped their last home game of the year to Randolph County, 42-14. The Tigers are now 1-7 in 2024 and 0-6 in region play. The Tigers will head to Dadeville this Friday night. The RadioAlabama Sports Player of the Week was Ethan McKinney.
