TALLADEGA COUNTY, Ala. – Here’s last week’s results for B.B. Comer, Childersburg, Fayetteville, and Sylacauga on the gridiron:
CHILDERSBURG – The Childersburg Tigers claimed their first RadioAlabama Tiger Bowl Trophy with a huge 35-6 victory over the B.B. Comer Tigers. Coach Matt Zedaker’s cats scored early and never looked back. The Tigers of Childersburg will tote their 1-0 record on the road to tangle with the Fayetteville Wolves.
B.B. COMER – Coach Adam Fossett’s Tigers drop to 0-1 after their loss in the Tiger Bowl and will now go home to take on Vincent next Friday.
SYLACAUGA – Chris Smelley and his Sylacauga Aggies got off on the right foot despite a first quarter one and a half hour storm delay and cruised to a 35-7 victory over Holtville. The 1-0 Cardinal and Black will travel to take on the Munford Lions next Friday night.
FAYETTEVILLE – John Limbaugh’s Fayetteville Wolves played a tough Coosa Central Cougar team right down to the final buzzer but came up just short losing to the Cougars, 18-12. The 0-1 Wolves will lick their wounds and welcome a good Childersburg Tiger team to FarmLinks Field next Friday.
