CAMP HILL, Ala. – Early Christmas morning, a shooting took place in Camp Hill resulting in at least one death.
Camp Hill Police Chief Johnny Potts said the shooting happened around 2-3 a.m. on Christmas Day at a place of residence on Martin Luther King Street. The shooting left one female dead. Four others were shot. “One of the people shot are in stable conditions and the others are okay,” said Chief Potts.
This case is still under investigation. The Camp Hill Police Department along with the State Bureau of Investigations and Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), who have taken over as lead investigators, are still looking for suspects in order to know what step to take next. There is no word on the motive behind this shooting at this time, but more information will come as they track down their suspects. Potts said this information could take a while because they will have to pin down the leads for the suspects they have.
“I’d like to thank Tallapoosa County Sheriff’s Department, Dadeville Police Department, and SBI for their help and cooperation with this investigation,” said Chief Potts.
