SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Manager of Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga, Shane Culver, was surprised by his staff Tuesday afternoon, May 2, with a pin and plaque commemorating 25 years with the company.
The presentation was conducted by Paul Lambert, the Market Director of Dignity Memorial which is the parent company of Radney-Smith Funeral Home.
“Our team is collectively better because of you,” said Lambert. “Our future is brighter because of you. I’m thankful for you, grateful to you, and more than anything, I’m super proud of you.”
Culver started with Dignity Memorial back in 1998 and became Manager of Radney-Smith in June of 2022. He considers reaching the position of manager to be one of his career’s finest achievements.
“This is what I’ve always wanted to do,” Culver remarked. “I love it!”
The accolades keep coming for Culver and his team as Radney-Smith was announced Monday as the Best Funeral Home of the Coosa Valley for 2023.
“It’s just everything coming together,” said Culver. “This is my dream job with a dream family of coworkers. I’m ecstatic!”
Culver recently represented Radney-Smith Funeral Home on the 13th episode of Businesses in our Backyard which released last week.
