TALLADEGA COUNTY, Ala. – Several arrests were made in Talladega County this week for drug related charges.
Demetrius Lamar Gooden was arrested on Wednesday by the Talladega Police Department. Gooden is a 34 -year-old resident of Talladega who was charged with possession of a controlled substance, attempting to elude arrest, and driving while his license was suspended. He is currently in the Talladega County Jail with a bond of $21,000 for the three charges.
Billy Jack Horton, 34, from Alpine, was arrested Tuesday by the Talladega County Sheriff’s Department. He is charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and possessing firearms from August 2017. His bond is set at $10,000 for the three charges.He is also in the Talladega County Jail for possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana, also from August. His bond was revoked for these two charges.
Dionne Carlos McKinney from Sylacauga was arrested on Wednesday by the Childersburg PD for public intoxication. He was arrested the next day by the Sylacauga PD, where his bond was revoked for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
31-year-old Sophia Lorna McKinney, from Sylacauga, was arrested on Tuesday for charges from 2012. Her bond was revoked for trafficking marijuana, trafficking cocaine, and possession of a controlled substance.
Kevin Bradley Ward was arrested on Tuesday by the Talladega County Sheriff’s Department for charges from 2011. His bond was revoked for unlawful distribution of a controlled substance.
