SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The anticipated crowd was a lot larger than expected as the J. Craig Smith Community Center hosted a Senior Sweethearts Ball in Sylacauga. The head count was well beyond the 150 seats set up, and kept on growing throughout the event.
Groups of senior center visitors from Sylacauga, Childersburg, Oak Grove, Rockford, Shiloh Baptist Church, and the Coosa Valley Nursing Home gathered for romantic music from the DJ, beautiful seasonal decorations, and all sorts of delicious treats
Also, the crowd made this a dress-up formal event for the older crowd.
The crowd selected a King and Queen for the event, and there were door prize drawing featuring a huge Teddy Bear. They even spotted flowers and candy for a lucky participant.
