SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Maxye Veazey Senior Center gathered 20 key resource providers for the region’s senior community on Thursday, Dec. 11, combining one-on-one interactions with fun activities and door prizes. The vendor information covered a wide range of topics, including Medicare and Medicaid, home health care, health and fitness, financial services, food and healthcare resources, and more.
The available help can still be as close as a visit to the Senior Center itself, explained Center Director Lakeisha Maxwell.
“Our roster for the Senior Resource Expo is something we work to keep current for those who frequent our many programs,” Maxwell said. “We have a lot of fun, but ongoing efforts to serve our seniors with things that matter most to their golden years is even more important.”
