CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – The Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) will host the 2024 Alabama State Tournament from June 6-8, featuring competitions in sporting clays, skeet, and trap.
Each discipline includes 100 targets per participant, with events spread across Selwood Farms in Alpine hosting Sporting Clays and Red Eagle Gun Club in Childersburg holding the Skeet and Trap competitions.
The tournament kicks off Thursday, June 6, with Skeet and Trap, continuing through Saturday, June 8.
The cost to participate is $80 for sporting clays and $60 each for skeet and trap. Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each division, along with team awards and High Overall (HOA) recognition. This year, buckles will be awarded to the overall HOA and HOA winners in each discipline. All participants will also receive a t-shirt.
SCTP offers a supportive environment for student athletes from elementary through college to learn valuable life skills through shooting sports. The program also serves as a feeder to USA Shooting and the U.S. Olympic Shooting Team.
