SYLACAUGA, Ala. – SAFE’s Southern Dance and Performing Arts Company is set to enchant audiences with their production of “Disney’s The Aristocats Kids” on Saturday, June 24 at 6:00 p.m.
The show, based on the beloved 1970 Disney animated film, will take place at First Baptist Church in Sylacauga, located at 10 S Broadway Ave.
The story revolves around an eccentric millionairess in Paris who leaves her entire estate to Duchess, her sophisticated cat, and her three adorable kittens. However, when the bumbling butler kidnaps them, it’s up to Thomas O’Malley, an alley cat, and his swinging jazz cat crew to save the day.
“Featuring a jazzy, upbeat score, ‘Disney’s The Aristocats Kids’ is a non-stop thrill ride of feline fun, complete with unbelievable twists and turns,” says co-director Joseph McDonald.
This production marks the first summer theatre camp for 8 to 16-year-olds organized by SAFE’s Southern Dance and Performing Arts Company. Co-directed by McDonald and Shaylyn Vick, the show aims to deliver an exceptional experience for both the performers and the audience.
