SAFE to host 15th Annual Ultimate Ball Drop


SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The 15th Annual Ultimate Ball Drop will be held Friday, October 16, 2020 before the SHS vs. Talladega High School football game.

Donations are tax deductible – $5 donation for each ticket.

Golf balls will be dropped from a crane and owners of the two balls that fall in the hole or closest to the hole will participate in the game of skill, the “Ultimate Putt-Off” to determine the winner of $5,000.

You do not have to be present at the ball drop to win, only for the “Ultimate Putt-Off.” Winners may designate someone to participate in the putt-off, if the winner cannot be in attendance. The two winners will compete at a designated time and place.

Tickets will not be sold at the game. All tickets must be purchased before Friday evening.Tickets can be purchased at SAFE Family Services Center or online at

“It is exciting that we are able to raise money for our community,” said SAFE Special Events Coordinator Kathy Landers. “We cannot thank Taylor and Lydia Pursell, Conn Equipment and SWEN enough for sponsoring the ball drop.”
