SYLACAUGA, Ala. – A rally marking Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Month will take place Tuesday, April 1, at 11:30 a.m. in front of Sylacauga City Hall.
Community members are invited to gather around the flagpole to show their support for efforts to prevent child abuse and neglect.
April is recognized nationally as Child Abuse Prevention Month, emphasizing the importance of strong communities in fostering child and family well-being.
The event, organized by the Sylacauga Alliance for Family Enhancement (SAFE) and FIRST Family, is part of a series of awareness activities, beginning with a rally at the Talladega Courthouse at 9:00 a.m.
Residents are encouraged to attend and stand in solidarity against child abuse. Supporters are asked to wear blue and help spread the message:
“Imagine a World Without Child Abuse.”
