SYLACAUGA, Ala. -For the past 6 years, SAFE Family Services Center in partnership with Sylacauga City Schools, Talladega County Schools, and Talladega City Schools has provided free after school meals to students through the Alabama State Department of Education’s Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).
During the 2018-2019 school year, there are five locations available for children to participate. Children do not have to be enrolled in these programs to participate in the meal service. However, they are required to eat on site. The following sites are currently available every day after school, Monday – Friday:
· Altapointe Health Services located at 1661 Old Birmingham Highway in Sylacauga
· Altapointe Health Services located at 10 Bemiston Ave. in Talladega
· BB Comer Memorial Elementary School located at 803 Seminole Ave. in Sylacauga
· Houston Elementary School located at 1310 Ashland Highway in Talladega
· Sylacauga Boys Club located at 412 West Pine Street in Sylacauga
Please contact SAFE at 256-245-4343 if you have any questions or would like for your child to participate in the after school meals program. Additionally, if you are interested in becoming a site for the summer meals program, we are in the process of planning sites for the summer of 2019.
