SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Marble City’s Sylacauga Alliance of Family Enhancement hosted the state’s District 3 grant presentation from The Alabama Department of Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention, The Children’s Trust Fund on Monday.
The Alabama Department of Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention, The Children’s Trust Fund, secures resources to fund evidence-based community programs committed to the prevention of child maltreatment. It advocates for children and the strengthening of families.
Over $1.2 million was presented to organizations in the state’s third district to help those initiatives.
ADCANP Director, Sally Longshore presented the check to the grantees.
SAFE will receive a portion of that $1.2 million grant.
This year we were extremely fortunate to partner with The Children’s Trust Fund and DHR,” said Margaret Morton. Morton is the executive director at SAFE. “We’ve had phenomenal success.”
State Representative Ron Johnson was in attendance along with Sylacauga Mayor Jim Heigl.
