TALLADEGA, Ala. – Newly elected District 33 Representative Ben Robbins was sworn in today at the judicial building in Talladega.
Robbins, age 38, was sworn in alongside his wife Melanie, and his son. Judge Chad E. woodruff presided over the ceremony.
Robbins will take over the seat the late Ron Johnson held for four decades. Robbins defeated Fred Crum in last Tuesday’s special election.
“Today is a great experience, and it means the world to me that the voters chose to put their trust in me,” Robbins told SylacaugaNews.com. “I’m excited to get to work and serve the citizens of district 33.
Robbins said one of his top priorities is economic growth, high-speed internet, jobs and infrastructure for his district.
