CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – The “Ride to the Rescue” was hardly in the books before a big announcement came out. Starting in 2026, it will become a series of biking events.

The first Ride will be in Childersburg with nice country scenery that was widely praised as an outstanding route by this year’s riders.

The second Ride will be held in Lillian with a wonderful beach ride hosted by Lower Alabama Search and Rescue.

It’s the start of something big with more surprises to come.

Ride #1 will be Oct. 10, 2026 in Childersburg, and Ride #2 will be Oct. 24, 2026 in Lilian. Mark your calendars and make plans to attend the inaugural Ride to the Rescue series in support of rescue squad responders.
