SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Resources for Women, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to providing support to individuals facing unplanned pregnancies, bode a fond farewell to their esteemed Director, Melodie Miller, as she embarks on a well-deserved retirement.
Miller, who has served as the Director for the past five years, has been an integral part of the organization’s mission to offer physical, emotional, and spiritual assistance in navigating the challenges of unexpected pregnancies.
Under Miller’s leadership, Resources for Women has also aimed to promote premarital sexual abstinence and discourage the need for abortion.
With a decade of dedicated service to the organization under her belt, Miller reflected on one of her most cherished memories — a case where she helped a birth mother through the adoption process.
The Resources for Women board members expressed their profound gratitude to Melodie for her commitment to the organization with a retirement party on Wednesday morning, June 28.
As they celebrated Miller’s remarkable legacy, Resources for Women will continue vital work in the community under the guidance of its new Director, Debbie Henderson.
Well-wishes and memories can be shared by leaving a comment on the organization’s Facebook page.
