SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Registration for Cal Ripken baseball is taking place now through Feb. 25 at Sylacauga Parks and Recreation.
The sign up fee is $55 for Bambino and $75 for T-Ball, Rookie, Minor, and Major. That price includes a hat, shirt, pants, belt and socks.
Tryouts will be taking place on March 7 and then teams will be selected shortly after. April 4 marks the opening ceremonies and then baseball will be underway.
There will be five different age groups and those are as follows:
- Ages 3-4: Bambino
- Ages 5-6: T-Ball
- Ages 7-8: Rookie (machine pitch)
- Ages 9-10: Minor
- Ages 11-12: Major
Games and practices will take place at the Donald Comer Jr. Recreational Complex in Sylacauga.
Players are allowed to play up to an older league, but are not allowed to play down to a younger league. The age cut-off date is May 1, 2020, and the player’s age on that date determines what group they are allowed to compete in.
