SYLACAUGA, Ala. – At 10:45 today power outages were reported in Sylacauga.
Sylacauga Utilities Board General Manager said a large pine tree fell on a line, taking out the pole and transformer near Herd’s Gap on the north side of Sylacauga.
There are about 880 customers out from roughly Nichols Lawson to Herds Gap and both sides of Hwy. 21.
SUB expects to have power back up in the next hour.
UPDATE: 11:25 a.m.
SUB has restored power to all but nine customers.
