CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – Businesses from all around the area will have products for sale this Saturday in Childersburg.
The Fall Extravaganza Pop-Up Shop event, hosted by the Bella Luna Events Center, will take place on Saturday, Nov. 6 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
A first of its kind in Childersburg, the pop-up shop is organized by Tamekia Johnson who runs an essential products business called Living By Faith. A wide variety of items will be available for purchase at the different vendors from homemade gameday chairs and scented candles to gourmet popcorn. The entire event will be held inside the venue with a fish fry lunch provided by Max One Catering.
“We’re trying to offer the public gift ideas for the holidays,” said Johnson.
Johnson says her inspiration for putting this event together derives from her passion for the community and the Lord.
“I just started asking people if they wanted this and it started falling into place,” Johnson said.
Johnson is hopeful of a good turnout and has plans to do it again next year as well as a Spring Fling event in March or April. Included in her future plans are a face-painting booth and a bouncy castle for children which would incentivize more families to gather at the pop-up shop. For Saturday’s extravaganza, she has a message for everyone:
“Come out and support the local businesses,” said Johnson. “You’re going to love meeting the different [vendors]. They’re going to feel the love as soon as they walk in.”
