SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Pizza Hut in Sylacauga has closed down and will not reopen at this time.
SylacaugaNews.com visited the red roofed establishment and found real estate signs posted outside of the former location. The number to the restaurant is out of service.
Keith Shamblin of Shannon Waltchack real estate group told SylacaugaNews.com Tuesday evening the company is working with a potential new tenant which should be announced in the coming weeks. He cited it would not be a pizza restaurant.
According to wideopeneats.com, the popular pizza chain has closed down over 500 of its restaurants nationwide and is now shifting the focus to improving its carry-out and delivery service.
Sources in local Pizza Hut management told SylacaugaNews.com Childersburg, Alexander City, and Talladega restaurants will remain open. Last week, Lincoln’s location was closed.
