SYLACAUGA, Ala. – After nearly 11 years in business, the Pickle Patch Market on Hwy 280 in Sylacauga will officially close its doors Thursday, July 31.
In an emotional announcement on Facebook, the store’s owner expressed deep gratitude to customers and vendors who supported the business since its opening.
The Pickle Patch, located next to Giovanni’s Italian Restaurant, has long been known as a haven for antique lovers and “treasure hunters.”
“Our vendors are striving to be out by June 30 or by the first week of July,” read the post on social media. “Many have already started 50% off sales with no restrictions, and many will follow suit in the coming days.”
The Facebook post also mentioned that over the years, loyal customers have witnessed the owner’s children grow up in the store, often referring to the Pickle Patch as their “happy place.”
A new occupant is set to take over the building on Aug. 1, with plans to redesign and reopen the space in a similar format.
Customers are encouraged to visit soon and support vendors during the coming transition.
