SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Coosa Valley Medical Center Auxiliary held its annual Tree of Love lighting Monday night in the front lobby of the hospital.
This celebration is a tradition people look forward to every year, and has been for nearly 40 years.
Hundreds purchased lights on the Tree of Love in honor and memory of a loved one. Many gathered together for a wonderful celebration of the tree lighting.
A special word was shared by CVMC Chaplain Glenn Winter on what light represents. Music was provided by Rocky Lucas.
The Auxiliary provides endless hours of volunteer work to CVMC, monetary contributions along with equipment needs and other things throughout the year. It will gather around the tree in the main lobby on Thursday evening along with community members, family, and friends. There will be a special program with a reception following. Every donation is given back to CVMC to purchase equipment and support other needed programs specifically the CVMC Foundation.
