Photography Exhibition on display at Comer Museum & Arts Center

SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Isabel Anderson Comer Museum & Arts Center’s Annual Photography Competition and Exhibition is on display this month through Sept. 28, 2017. This year’s competition displays approximately 60 photographs taken by 22 different photographers.

Half of the photographers herald from Sylacauga – Brett Carden, David Green, Dana Hale, Deb Hendrick, Frances Horton, Shelby Lee, Valerie Lee, Sarah McGuffin, Todd Riggins, Cindy Swain, and Katlyn Tabor. Additional area photographers include Celeni Sasser from Alpine, Fletcher Scott from Alex City, Bob Goss from Birmingham, Debra Foster from Childersburg, Madelyn Carr Bonnett and Liz Masoner from Columbiana, Dale Bryant and Melanie Chaney from Helena, Wanda Green from Hokes Bluff, Doug Bryant from Odenville, and Stella Ozbilgin from Rainbow City.

The Awards Reception is slated for Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017 from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. to include refreshments and live entertainment by songwriter and musician Jim “Hoppy” Hopkins. Admission is free to the public and donations are welcome.

Executive Director Donna Rentfrow invites everyone out to attend the Comer Museum & Arts Center for a fun evening of art, entertainment and good fellowship.
