SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Petra, the renowned American music group hailed as pioneers of Christian rock and contemporary Christian music, will be making a special appearance on MIX Sunday Morning this weekend on June 18.
With a reputation as the “world’s most popular Christian rock band,” Petra has captivated audiences for years with their inspiring music.
Petra has been celebrated with numerous prestigious awards throughout their illustrious career.
They were inducted into the Hard Rock Cafe in 1994, the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 2000, and the Christian Music Hall of Fame in 2007. Their talent and artistry have also garnered Grammy nominations, including Best Performance by a Gospel Duo, Group, Choir, or Chorus.
Petra has been credited as inspirations to other notable bands in Christian rock including Skillet, Third Day, Disciple, and many more.
Jon Schlitt and Bob Hartman, notable members of Petra, will be joining the show as guest callers on Sunday.
