Pedestrian hit, killed in Sylacauga

SYLACAUGA, Ala. – A pedestrian was killed Sunday on U.S. 280 in Sylacauga.

The crash happened about 4:30 a.m. in the eastbound lanes near Allen’s Truck Stop, said Police Chief Kelley Johnson. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene by Talladega County Coroner Shaddix Murphy.

Authorities have not yet been able to identify the fatality victim.  According to the press release, two vehicles were disabled during the accident.
