TALLADEGA COUNTY, Ala. – Children ages 3 through 18 in Talladega County will have the opportunity to receive free speech and language therapy this summer through the 2024 Summer Speech Program.
The program, running from Monday, June 3 until Thursday, June 27, will offer eight one-on-one therapy sessions lasting 30 minutes to each participant, taking place on Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the four weeks of June.
Hosted at two locations – the Alabama School for Deaf Campus in Talladega and Pinecrest Elementary School in Sylacauga – the initiative is spearheaded by a collaborative effort from the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind, the Talladega County Easter Seal Society, the United Way of North Talladega County, the Talladega County Schools Foundation, and First Bank of Alabama.
