SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Residents of Sylacauga have the opportunity to learn about their risk for cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, diabetes, and other chronic, serious conditions with affordable screenings by Life Line Screening.
Screenings can check for the level of plaque buildup in your arteries related to risk for heart disease, stroke and overall vascular health, HDL and LDL cholesterol levels, diabetes risk, bone density as a risk for possible osteoporosis, kidney and thyroid function, and more.
The screening tests are performed by experienced professional sonographers using sophisticated Doppler ultrasound technology. A board certified physician registered in Alabama reviews all results before they are sent to individual screening participants in about 21 days. Life Line Screening’s mission is to make people aware of potentially serious conditions that are difficult to detect in routine check-ups.
Screenings will be hosted by Odena Baptist Church located at 115 Odena Road North on Friday, Nov. 30.
Packages start at $149, but consultants with Life Line Screening will help you create a package based on your age and risk factors. You can call (800) 640-6307 or visit the website to receive $10 off a package $129 or more. Pre-registration is required to attend this event.
