OAK GROVE, Ala. – Oak Grove’s town council will meet at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 13, to consider a range of administrative, financial, and planning matters, including infrastructure requests, personnel actions and board appointments.
The council is scheduled to approve minutes from its December meeting and review financial reports for December before hearing reports from the mayor, town attorney, council members, clerk, and multiple town departments, including fire, street, nutrition/senior services, and transportation. Under new business, the council will hear from a representative of the Spring Creek Homeowners Association requesting the town’s acceptance of Hannah Lane. Other agenda items include consideration of a volunteer fire department application, authorization of repair expenses for a 2005 Ford F-550 fire truck, and discussion of cost estimates and design options for a proposed town mural. The council will also consider a proposed pay increase for the transportation coordinator position, a resolution ratifying authorized signatories for the nutrition checking account, and nominations and reappointments to the Board of Zoning and Adjustment, including filling a current vacancy and reappointing existing members to staggered three-year terms.
