SYLACAUGA, Ala. — Anybody driving through downtown Sylacauga has noticed something new at Jack’s. The fast-food chain is in the process of constructing a new building which is set to open in mid-December. The new building will be about the same size as the current restaurant, which seats around 85 people.
Director of Marketing Pam Measel, told SylacaugaNews.com the Jack’s franchise schedules facilities to be rebuilt each year to keep customers pleased and features up to date. While the size of the new building is similar to the current building, the floor plan will have some changes, and the furniture and color scheme will be different. The restroom will also be upgraded.
Many regulars at Jack’s will be pleased with one new feature: the biscuit maker. Jack’s is in the process of creating a new design for the biscuit maker, and it will be placed directly behind the order area for customers to see.
When deciding to rebuild in Sylacauga, Jack’s made a point to stay in its current location near the downtown area. Measel said the current downtown location makes them feel like a part of the Sylacauga community. Jack’s may also consider adding a second location on Highway 280 at some point in the future.
Prior to the grand opening of the new building, the current facility will be torn down and turned into a parking lot.
