Mountain View Baptist Church holding ongoing supply drive to support students going back to school

CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – Mountain View Baptist Church is holding an ongoing School Supply Drive to support students throughout Talladega County.

Donations of essential items, such as graph paper, pens, glue, disinfecting wipes, and more, can be made at the church, which is located at 6585 Old Sylacauga Hwy in Childersburg, or at Second-Hand Heaven, located at 218 Calhoun Ave. in Sylacauga.

The distribution day is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 5, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the church.

To be eligible for supplies, parents must bring their child’s school supply list.

The initiative will continue throughout the school year with later supply pickup dates to be determined.

For more information or alternative drop-off arrangements, contact Second-Hand Heaven owner Karen Tampling at (256) 267-7597.
