TALLADEGA COUNTY, Ala. – All ballots have been counted in Talladega County.
Phillip Morris will be your next county commissioner for the south end of Talladega Co. Morris took 52.5% of the vote in Tuesday’s primary run-off. Morris will run in November uncontested.
Former Auburn football coach Tommy Tuberville not only took Talladega Co. in a race for the Republican party’s nominee for the state’s senate election, but he took the whole state in commanding fashion. Tuberville grabbed 71% of Talladega County, and has been projected the winner of the primary by the Associated Press.

District 1 County Commissioner Jackie Swinford fought off Jay Watson in a tight race by taking 51% of the district’s vote.
