Missing teen last seen in Childersburg, current whereabouts unknown

SHARE NOW

CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – A local teen hasn’t been seen since mid-July, and authorities need your help in tracking her down.

Alexis Camille Wood was last seen on July 17 at the Childersburg Mapco gas station.

The 18-year old also goes by the names Lexi or Lex. She is 5’5″ and weighs 130 pounds. Wood has a tattoo of butterflies on her forearm, a nose piercing, blue eyes and, as of July, had blonde hair.

However, an unidentified individual made contact with her on Aug. 8. In that conversation, it was revealed that Wood had dyed her hair and eyebrows a burgundy red.

Wood is believed to still be in Alabama but could be in one of the surrounding states.

If you have any information regarding Wood’s location and well-being, you can contact the Childersburg Police Department at (256) 378-5747 or her family at (205) 542-6303.
