SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Miss Sylacauga Fishing Tournament, originally scheduled for this Saturday, June 24, has been rescheduled to September 23.
The tournament, sponsored by Sylacauga Parks and Recreation, aims to fund scholarships for aspiring girls competing in Miss Sylacauga and Miss Sylacauga’s Outstanding Teen.
Anglers can pre-register on MissSylacauga.com or register on the day.
Limited to 50 boaters, the competition offers a $1,500 first-place prize.
The weigh-in starts at 2:00 p.m., with boat numbers assigned based on registration order. Sponsors and vendors are welcome.
The Miss Sylacauga Competition, established in 1936, supports scholarships for young women and develops life skills such as public speaking and philanthropy.
