SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The 2023 Miss Sylacauga and Miss Sylacauga’s Outstanding Teen competition will take place on Saturday, Oct. 1.

Young women ages 13 through 26 are eligible to enter. Contestants will compete in a variety of events including Red Carpet (Evening Gown) attire, Interview, and Talent. Outstanding Teen candidates will also take part in the Lifestyle and Fitness portion of the pageant.

Deadline for contestant entry is Saturday, Sept. 17.

Due to the construction going on at the Sylacauga High School auditorium, the Miss Sylacauga 2023 contest will be staged at the B.B. Comer Memorial High School auditorium. Doors will open that evening at 5:30 p.m.

Girls younger than the age requirement are also invited to participate as Miss Sylacauga is offering a Rising Star VIP package for exclusive, backstage access to girls ages 7 to 11.

The lucky pair of girls that are named Miss Sylacauga 2023 and Miss Sylacauga’s Outstanding Teen 2023 will be crowned by last year’s champions, Lacey Wood (Miss Sylacauga 2022) and Isabella Kirkland (Miss Sylacauga’s Outstanding Teen 2022).

Tickets for the event can be purchased on the website in advance or at the door for $10.

Established in 1937, Miss Sylacauga is the longest running preliminary to Miss Alabama that goes on to compete at Miss America. The competition is sponsored by Sylacauga Parks and Recreation.
