SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Milo’s Hamburgers and a T-Mobile store will be tenants in a new building in Peyton Park on U.S. Highway 280 in Sylacauga.
Groundbreaking is planned for next week at the former Hibachi Sushi Buffet location in the shopping center anchored by Walmart, according to a press release from Birmingham-based The Retail Companies. The shared 5,000 sq. ft. building should be completed in the spring of 2022 and will include a drive-thru and patio seating for the restaurant.
“We always thought Sylacauga would be a good spot for a Milo’s restaurant, and after seeing the community support, our suspicions were confirmed,” said Tom Dekle, CEO of Milo’s Hamburgers. The “Original Burger Bus” began visiting Sylacauga several months ago, including as a fundraiser for The Arc of South Talladega County, and this permanent location will be the 23rd in Alabama.
“We have had our eye on this property for years, and we always knew it could be something great,” according to The Retail Companies partner Brooks Corr. “There’s a lot to love in this growing market, and the fundamentals are excellent.”
The Retail Companies, which specializes in retail commercial real estate in the southeast, was also involved in constructing the Starbucks and Verizon locations in nearby Marble City Square.
