SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Miss Sylacauga 2026 Megan Malloy will host a community event on Saturday, May 2 aimed at supporting children with dyslexia and raising funds for intervention services.
The event, “Royalty for a Day,” is scheduled from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the J. Craig Smith Community Center. Organized in partnership with Alabama Game Changers, the event will feature a royal tea party where children can dress as princes and princesses and enjoy themed activities and treats.
Proceeds will benefit Megan’s Mission – Deciphering Dyslexia, Malloy’s nonprofit focused on dyslexia awareness, education, and financial assistance. The organization provides scholarships to help children access dyslexia intervention services.
Several Miss Alabama titleholders, including Miss Alabama Teen 2026 Grier Feldman, are expected to attend and participate in the festivities.
Local Sylacauga High School students Josie Harrison and Saniyah Thomas are assisting with organizing the event.
