SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Marble City Family Care held a ribbon cutting for its new office Thursday. The new location is located at 11 North Norton Avenue in the heart of downtown Sylacauga. Marble City Family Care is led by Dr. Clifton E. Garris, Karie Bowers, Nurse Practitioner, and Brad Cantley, Physicians Assistant.
At the new facility, Marble City Family Care is beginning laser hair removals and laser vein treatments. The new facility also houses more examination rooms and additional parking. Garris told SylacaugaNews.com the need for extra exam rooms and parking were integral in the decision to build a new facility.
Prior to the ribbon cutting ceremony, First Baptist Church of Sylacauga Pastor Rick Patrick led the group in a prayer. Director of Sylacauga Chamber of Commerce Mike Landers commended Dr. Garris and the Marble City Family Care staff for devoting time, capital improvement, and resources to the Sylacauga community. Landers also praised Dr. Garris and staff for the commitment to building new facilities in the downtown area as a part of the downtown Sylacauga revitalization.
The ceremony then moved outside for the official ribbon cutting where Garris was joined by his staff, family, construction workers, Sylacauga Mayor Jim Heigl, and Sylacauga Chamber of Commerce officials.
Following the ribbon cutting, guests were invited to take tours of the new facility and indulge in hors d’oeuvres. Inside the lobby and waiting room, the Marble City Family Care staff brought in a unique mantle from Dr. Garris’s home as a young child.
